Now that consumer digital cameras have reached a level of critical sales mass, manufacturers are starting to play around with interesting new designs.

Japan's Nikon, already a maker of popular digital cameras for consumers who take their photography seriously, has recently released the Coolpix 2500, a pocket-sized camera capable of taking pictures at a resolution of 2 million pixels.
중요한 의미를 갖고 사진을 찍는 소비자들을 위한 인기 있는 디지털 카메라를 이미 내놓았던 일본의 Nikon사는 최근에 해상도가 2만 화소인 사진을 찍을 수 있는 초소형 카메라 Coolpix 2500을 출시했다.

And while there are plenty of compact digital cameras on the market, this one has a lens that swivels within the camera body, allowing for pictures from all kinds of angles. The lens can even flip a full 180 degrees for self-portraits that let the user line up the shot in the viewfinder.

Other features include a 3x optical zoom lens, a built-in speedlight with a red eye reduction and an LCD screen viewfinder. The Coolpix also has 12 shooting modes, including settings for shooting at parties, taking portraits at night or at sunset, closeups and shooting at the beach or in the snow. The camera can also record up to 15 seconds of video at a speed of 15 frames a second.
